Beware the Guideman!

After checking in to a nice campground in NC I was briefed that I WOULD be guided into our spot. The guideman cautioned me about about clearing a steep hill. It was raining and the gentleman situated his golf cart in a conveneint location for him, not so much for me. The cart location precluded my moving closer to the clear area, I  didn't want to inconvenience the man so I proceeded with caution.  I positioned the coach for the turn in (backing up) and then followed guide's instruction. I came to a point that I was reluctant to turn more sharply and he insited that I  sharpen the turn. That was my big mistake, I made contact with the uphill slope and caused damage to my spoiler area. Upon seeing that I had made contact the guideman commented "they can fix that easily" and walked away. I was left with a damaged coach to the tune of well over $1000. Who is ultimately resposible? ME ...... use caution and question/ check that the guidance is indeed GOOD!

I was quoted over $4000 at my rv dealer's body shop, a local body shop (very good reputation) quoted $1000
