Is there a relationshio/connection between the Clairon(?) radio and the satalite King Dome dish?

The King Dome disk does not energize, and I have just upgraded to a newer model Claiton(?) radio for ipod use (wihch works great, and reduces clutter).

It may be a coinidence, but time wise at the same time.
